Today we’d like to introduce you to Belkys Guerrero.
Belkys Guerrero at BAG Online Art Gallery
Belkys, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
BAG Online Art Gallery is a project that has developed for the last 10 years. We had the dream of launching a virtual art gallery for a long time, and we have worked hard towards that goal. We think online galleries are the future, as they allow artists to reach a much wider audience around the world. Our idea was to have an online gallery that worked as a physical one: we work directly with artists, we organize temporary exhibitions with curatorial research and interpretive material, and we offer art collecting advising services to our clients.
At BAG Online Art Gallery, we are a group of professionals dedicated to the research, selection, and promotion of Latin American contemporary art. We are constantly investigating the newest trends and artists, as well as the market, to offer a great variety of works in different media with particular emphasis on painting, sculpture, and photography. We also offer art collection consulting services to collectors of all levels of expertise and budgets.
We focus on supporting our artists by providing a space for the promotion, marketing and commercialization of their work while providing advice and assistance.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It has been a relatively smooth road. We feel fortunate to love what we do and to be passionate about art, which makes the hard work totally worth it. We feel that although there have been some obstacles and struggles, our passion for art and our love for our mission are very strong, and have helped overcome the few difficulties we have encountered along the way.
Our biggest challenge is to make our audience understand that we are a virtual art gallery, as opposed to just a website. We feel that because this concept is very innovative, it is still somewhat hard to grasp.
We’d love to hear more about your business.

At BAG Online Art Gallery, one of our goals is to discover emerging promising artists whose work is impressive and affordable, to encourage art lovers to become collectors. We are always delighted to help discover outstanding works of art!
We work with several artists whose styles and techniques are unique and notably different among themselves. This allows for great variety and sparks strong interest to keep looking. We are very proud to count with amazing artists who trust us, and we are also very proud of the strong team of professionals that form the gallery.
Being a virtual gallery sets us apart from many other art galleries, particularly in the way that our platform is designed.
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
We would like to increase our international audience, given the advantages of being a virtual art gallery, and we would like to add a physical space to complement our operations in the future to offer our local audience a greater diversity of exhibitions, programs, and events.
