She believes that art is vital to the human being and it’s present in everything. At the end of this month, her works will be exhibited in a virtual gallery.
Ana Margarita Ramirez is a Venezuelan artist who literally does not waste anything to create works that have captivated hundreds of people in numerous galleries in America, Switzerland, and even Russia.
She was born in Caracas in 1974. She began her studies at the School of Visual Arts Cristobal Rojas in 1992. She hold different courses in jewelry and sculpture at the Candido Millan School and the Armando Reveron School. Entering the world of painting in the year 2002 in the workshops of Petra Kowalsky and Margaret Salazar.

Ana Margarita expresses her philosophy of art: “For me everything is recyclable, I do not waste anything. Everything has a life of its own. Over the years I have noticed how each element, every tool, every material of work has had a meaning and has left a mark in the elaboration of my work and my own way. They have been witnesses and loyal companions of each creation and my transformation as an artist. They are protagonists. Everything has its own life and is recyclable, not throw away or waste anything.”
¿What does it mean to take advantage of what others regard as garbage?
Everything has its history. The paint cans and their lids, the Chinese sticks I use to paint, and so on, are all receiving threads of paint and thus they are gaining a life of their own because all my work is embodied in them
¿Do you plan your works or pints improvised?
Both things happen. Sometimes I already have an idea, sometimes it comes as it comes out, sometimes everything happens by accident and it works out…
!Wow! It is becoming more difficult but it has forced me to reinvent myself and look for other opportunities in the world.
There are those who believe that art is not important … Why is it for you?
I think art is vital for the human being because it sensitizes the human, disconnects or connects with a feeling even many do not see art in everyday life because they remain elementary. Many people think that they do not know about art and it is not to know about it is to enjoy it.
